Even though home and garden websites must serve a very fast-paced market, an online storefront also gives a company the
opportunity to provide extensive product knowledge and automated superior customer service. This opportunity should not be squandered. However, it also shouldn't get in the way of simple, effective, and elegant product presentation. Most visitors don't want to have to sift through endless promotional text, product specifications, and option lists in order to understand an offered product. The effective solution is to design seperate product "sub-pages" that provide as much detailed information about products as possible, and always link over to the key pertinent information, including product manuals when applicable.
